ROVSUN Built-in Stainless Steel Commercial Ice Maker,100lbs/24h, 33lbs Storage,Under Counter/Freestanding/Portable Automatic Ice Machine for Restaurant Bar Cafe,5 Accessories,18

This is a great little machine which puts out more ice than I will ever need in my home in a very small footprint. I shopped appliance stores in my area and found ice machines in a very similar form factor, but the ice mechanism was the half-dozen crescent mechanism that fridge-freezers come with and that's not what I wanted.

I personally don't think this would look great in a home kitchen - I have mine hooked up in the laundry room sharing the cold tap and drain with the washer. That is fine for my needs. It is great for parties when I want to put out a cooler and possibly top off the ice bin in my fridge dispenser when it runs out.

Pros:
* It makes ice fast - 45 cubes at a time in a few-minute cycles.
* It holds a lot of ice - I could probably fill 5 huge coolers before I run out.
* It's not too big - I was able to carry it downstairs to the basement by myself and it doesn't take up too much room.
* It hooks directly to a water line - no need to fill it up like some of the more home-oriented countertop ice machines out there.
* Easy to clean - every part of the machine is pretty accessible without needing to disassemble. There's not a lot of moving parts since the ice is a gravity drop harvest. That may also mean it is reliable, although I will have something to add about this in cons.
* Ice tastes great (I hooked it up with a charcoal filter).

Cons:
* Does not produce clear ice (probably should not expect that at this price point) although it is clearer than fridge-freezer icemaker ice. I recommend a filter for best taste and clarity.
* Does not have a freezer in the ice bin, so ice starts melting once it is produced - I believe this is standard for commercial ice makers. The water water is probably far cheaper than the energy cost to freeze the ice - also means you don't have to worry about ice merging into one big blob.
* The drain is a gravity drain. I have a floor drain in my laundry room which I used to begin with, but didn't want that area wet all the time, so I purchased an air conditioner condenser overhead pump which lifts the water to my laundry drain.
* Noisy when harvesting ice, there isn't much sound insulation.
* This IS a fault of the item itself, not really the seller's fault or the shipper's fault but a deliberate facet of the product's packaging design, but mine arrived dented. The packaging is very carefully designed as part of the icemaker as a product, so that it is within the limits to ship by FedEx/UPS. If this was packaged with more cushioning, then it would only be possible to receive it by freight and probably the cost would skyrocket. So, I understand why the packaging is so thin, and for my purposes (and maybe a commercial kitchen) this wouldn't be a big deal. If you want this for your home kitchen, there is a chance you will have to deal with some drama because the product packaging is not very protective.
* Speaking of drama, if you do run into a problem after the initial sale/return window, there was no warranty documentation or even manufacturer contact information included with this unit. If it breaks down, you will either need to buy a new one, or try and find the parts from a Chinese electronics supplier and repair it yourself.

Bottom line: If you want a commercial ice maker at a much lower price than you should expect to pay for one, this is a bargain.

We have owned several ice makers. Some great and some not so much. So I did not believe that for this price it would be one of the greats. After almost 3 months, I am surprised! This little gem continually keeps ice with little effort. This is the smallest machine we have ever had but we are never out of ice! It is in our pantry and one of the bonuses I find is that this machine doesn’t heat up the room as the other machines had. I am honestly very pleased!

My wife and I both had orthopedic surgery scheduled this fall. Both recoveries were going to require lots of cold therapy. We bought this machine and installed it. I was an ice machine service tech for a few years and was skeptical. From the moment I first turned it on, I’ve been impressed.

The bridge thickness of the ice is adjustable. I set mine on -2, which not only makes the ice break apart into individual cubes easily, it makes ice very fast. We’ve tried to use ice faster than it could make ice. Haven’t beat it yet.

Purchased Ice Maker several months ago when we started finishing our basement. Everything came well packaged. because we were gone the months of Feb & March ice maker didn't get installed until middle of April. we had it installed by a plumber. Ran clean out ice and then started making ice. Also Hooked up drain lines directly to our drain in floor. It's a little noisy when making ice but not to bad. First & Biggest problem, and this probably comes from a first time ice maker buyer, the ice starts melting soon after making ice. Would never have ordered if I knew this, this should be added to your description on line. better info and in layman terms in manual. Your info says you can control the thickness and how often ice is made by using the - or + sign. the - only goes to 0. what is the best setting to get the best ice? also what does the M and the H mean and what do Happens when I change them. (I presume the M is for Minutes and the H is for hour.) Again what do i accomplish by changing these and what is the best setting on these to obtain the best ice. Still contemplating returning. Does Rovsun make a model the also keeps the ice frozen after it's made?

I’ve had this installed for several months now. So far so good and installation was not bad if your used to home projects and plumbing.
Hit the power on button and 16 mins later it dumped the first load of ice. Ice is great size and for the money I don’t think you can beat it. I would buy it again!

Very nice unit, however on & off touch switch is touchy.
Kinda loud.
But very nice unit.

Works better than expected. Great ice machine for the bbn price.

Plumb it in, turn on the water, and turn it on and in no time it is making a bin full of ice! So far, I would say that it is the best money that we have spent in a while!

The cubs are bigger than I like

This product is in our shop and has been the best purchase of a the summer!
