IF this had reasonable spacing on the pre-drilled holes I'd give it a 5. However, if you are trying to mount this to a wall with 16" OC studs, might as well plan to install backer supports now. Seems logical that you'd have at least a combination of holes that works for 16" OC at least on the upper bar. Regardless, it's a solid support and the included padded feet are a good touch. I tested the mount (ours is 8 feet off the ground by necessity...long story) before lifting up the condenser (get a friend or a hoist) and did a pull up on it without any signs of give (I'm 200 pounds). Hence, I believe the rating for 300 lbs, if properly mounted. Included mounted hardware is excellent quality. Cheers.
Solid mounting device which seems to be the best commercial one available for a large mini-split unit, and can be identified as a rectorseal by the photos when looking at other sellers. The antivibration pads appear to work well. The alternative was going to be 2 sturdy aluminum L-brackets, but this appears to have been the better choice.
My only complaint is it would have been nice to have additional flexibility in the rear mount points for the cross-bar as we had to attach cross-member 2X4's to the studs in order to mount the assembly. It does appear to accommodate a 16" on center configuration.
Otherwise, a great product.
very good price. all the air conditioning stores wanted 60-80 bucks. they figure while you are buying a unit you will buy a bracket. so they inflate the price of the bracket thinking you will not check prices on just the bracket. they are right most of the time.
I have three of these one is in stainless. Hold compressors as designed. Nice quality build. I replaced the anchors with Red Heads.
I have had this for a year now and is holding strong. Excellent product

Love it. Easy to install and much better quality than I had expected. I have a 24k btu Gree that weights 140 lbs and no problem.
Perfect application for hanging split system AC compressors in out of the way places. Very sturdy. And very easy to install
I mounted the bracket on a brick wall. The well constructed unit was easy to level both horizontally and vertically. With the brackets being adjustable across the horizontal bar, placing the split system unit on the neoprene bolts was quite easy also. A great product .
Worked great to hold our unit outside for our newly finished room upstairs.
Nice bracket for the money. Is holding my LG 8 feet off the ground. Same bracket at the AC store for 3 times as much?
