To be fair in this review it is important to understand that I am being nit picky and have not yet contacted the manufacturer to address any issues regarding cooling, automatic mode, or maximum height between outdoor and indoor units.

Design: Is good but the discharge vent "seems" small which may mislead some to think it is under powered. A window
AC has about the same size discharge hole inside which then is channeled into an expanding discharge duct
(thing with the vent shutters). The unit seems to cool really well at start up and then doesn't seem to put out
the same over time. In testing it, the temperature was set to 65 degrees F and couldn't make under 73
degrees F when starting room temp was 75F and outdoor temp was 78F. Update--it made it to 68 but it is 70F outside and raining.
Control: Is about annoying as rock in your shoe. The app is extremely basic and is just an extension of the remote
control, and has you sign up via some website and you are texted or emailed back a code to enter into the
app. The issue is that you have to put in your WiFi password prior to getting the code. I put it on the guest
network to avoid any unauthorized network access. The display panel is fine but in the lower right corner is
an animated symbol for indicating the fan/unit is running. The indicator is way to bright. If the lights are off
in the room the constant flashing gets annoying / irritating (looks like there is an emergency vehicle in the
room). I put tape on it when needed. The next issue is that the Automatic Mode is not what a normal person
would think Automatic Mode on an AC would be (set the temperature and the unit runs to achieve the set
temperature and then the whole thing would turn off). What happens with this unit is it gets to the desired
temperature and then just shifts to the fan running on low. That is essentially the same as if it is in Cooling
mode. Might as well have a mechanical thermostat. Dehumidify? That's going to happen when ever the unit
is in cooling mode and it doesn't seem to run any differently.

Documentation: Is extremely poor. No specifications given. Is organized in a strange way (out of order). Installation
instructions mainly cover how to assemble the window kit and plug in the hoses. There is really
nothing mentioned about the outdoor unit. Need to know how to place the outdoor unit,
perpendicular or parallel to an object, how far from objects, and maximum distance below or above
the inside unit.

Installed and began running unit last week May, 03 2019.
Unit is installed in Central Texas and weather was 78-89 degrees Fahrenheit. Outside unit is placed on blocks approximately 9 feet below inside unit and between a fence and building under a shade tree.
I was unable to locate the SEER rating of the unit but the specs are:
Model: COOL-P800
Rated Voltage: 115v~ 60hZ
Rated Cooling Current: 11 amps
Rated Cooling capacity: 10,000 BTU/h

I think that this product is pretty cool (pun intended), priced well, great for DIY in a small room, and would be great for portable applications . A person needs to understand that it isn't a traditional looking or sized unit. It is not name brand, it has had bad reviews concerning overheating/lack of cooling (possibly refrigerant leaking out at connectors).
I might buy it again if needed but......... I would seriously consider the name brand kits listed on Amazon that are about $200-$300 more but have a proven track record.

So I waited about 3-4 weeks of use before writing this. The main thing that kept me away were the negative reviews regarding the leaking issues. This unit is basically the same unit you can find being sold by other vendors at various prices. I was going to go with a unit being sold by a Canadian company through COSTO when I found this and realized its the exact same unit, just $400 less. Here is what I found regarding the leaking...
The first day testing mine, after 2 hours of use when I went to move it the indoor unit did indeed leak water. In order to prevent this you need to take the little black cap off of the clear water drain tube (you'll find it if you remove the back panel on the indoor unit) and just let it drain off while running!!!
The reason the unit leaks is that contrary to what the manual says about only needing to drain the water off occasionally you actually need to let it drain often. The unit ends up leaking because of the massive amount of water that builds up within the unit. It ends up putting pressure on the internal storage container (which is very small) and pushes the water out through the seal surrounding the drain hose.
I have seen this thing accumulate about 2 cups of water while running for 3-4 hours. I honestly have no idea how anyone is using this thing without this method which makes me question above reviews who make no mention of this. This issue has nothing to do with your areas relative humidity. Where I am at its about 30% currently and I still get quite a build up of water.

Long story short...Is it worth buying?? Personally, Id say yes but like I said you CANNOT use it as is. You'll need to let it drain while running. If you're okay with the idea of that then have at it! It keeps my 300 sq/ft room nice and cool even with low fan settings.

The effect so far is ok. My house was built in 1985 . My master bedroom is located on the 2nd floor. The central air conditioner already aging. Not enough power to cool my bedroom. This is great for me. This is a small ranch. Quiet, efficient, cooling about 15ftx15ft if space.Cooled to 70-75 degrees soon. The app is ok, but it runs reliably on my current iPhone 8+. Easily set up and the app completes everything I need. It can also be controlled from the Outside to open/close.Stylish design. In general, it is not perfect. But I like it.

Easiest AC system I have dealt with so far. Stable, light (for an AC system) and extremely effective. Cools my room down ten degrees in ten or fifteen minutes. Didn’t have to hire anyone for installation at all, and I’m by no means a tool wizard. I hope other companies move in this direction too.

After I read the reviews on this product, I tried to cancel the order but it had already shipped. I am pleasantly surprised with the performance after all. I am waiting to see if the issues others had will occur with this one but so far it has remained steady and good.

Description

Nothing to complain about the noise, much quiet than my original window A/C and the central air.
This unit is heavy, looks pretty small in the image but it was heavy, so get someone to help you to move it.
The installation wasn't too bad, not super easy but we managed it in few hours.
The remote control app is ok, got most thing we need but it does crash couple times which is annoying.

The cooler works as described. We love the small size; it doesn't take much space and does a good job of keeping my bedroom cool.

The sound is small but the effect is very good
