I installed the unit in a 20 and 1/4 inch wide window! that was with side curtains installed! It needs no extra support. It is very quiet, too! I will have to see how it performs in 90-100 degree weather, but it runs fine presently. I have a 500 square foot apartment, and it reached all corners of it in the test run, I'll update if I have anything new to report, good or bad.
Good air conditioner that I had installed in a mobile home that I have up for sale. It works great and does the job!
Powerful and very quiet!
Get cold super quick! Bought this for our basement, converted our basement into a finished bedroom. Put this in the window. Is small enough that it fits the small basement window and nukes the basement with cold air!! Damn well worth the money!

For the price i figured I'd take a chance. If it lasted a few months at least. In a medium large size room it stays cold. I received it on 7/8/14 and everything is working great so far.
One issue is it came with no screws for brackets and side panels.So i used sheet metal screws.
Works great...now our room will remain comfortable.
The Lifesmart 5000 BTU A/C unit was well packaged and arrived via Fedex Ground quickly and with no damage to box or unit. It took about 10 minutes to install with two people. (You need someone outside the window to support it and help position it.) All needed screws, housing, and foam cushioning was included. Within two hours the unit cooled my three room cabin using the highest setting (hi cool, 10) on a 99F day in Oklahoma. I then switched down to Lo Cool, 5 and the unit maintained the cool temperature nicely. I paid $109 for it and consider it a great bargain. I purchased from VMInnovations and would buy from them again.
