Seville Classics UltraSlimline 17 in. Oscillating Personal Tower Fan,

Seville Classics UltraSlimline 17 in. Oscillating Personal Tower Fan, Black

Seville Classics UltraSlimline 17 in. Oscillating Personal Tower Fan, Black

This fan is quite possibly the best I've ever bought. What makes it special is the unusually high volume of air at a relatively low volume. I'm buying a second one. FYI It does not have a "breeze" type setting, it's for larger rooms and/or high temps.

*** UPDATE ***
We're on our second summer with these babies and they are hands down our best fans (we have two Dysons). Major cooling power :)

Ive been sweating since the mid of June. This humidity is crazy ya'll. Living in a big city and not having an A/C, NOTHING WORSE! This fan is a true life saver. Every night i blast this bad boy right at my face (that's the part of my body that gets the hottest), and every night I have a cool satisfying sleep.

Today I hosted a family lunch at my apt. At first i was apprehensive that my family members would be uncomfortable with the amount of heat billowing throughout my space, but then i remembered I had my Seville Classic, and I pulled him out and he immediately cooled my 93 year old grandmother.

I know what you'e thinking, "who is this crazy girl getting buck wild on this Amazon review about a fan?", but if im being honest with myself and the rest of my amazon community, I've never left an amazon review, and frankly i don't do this often, but i think that speaks to my satisfaction.

In conclusion, It's the best $60 I've ever spent. If you are on the fence about spending this type of doe on a fan. HOLD NO WORRIES. Click the "add to cart" then the "Proceed to checkout" followed by the "Confirm Order". Nothing will ever compare to this satisfaction.

Vintage whatever is my first choice for almost everything I have to display in order to use, but there was so little information online about which sort of vintage fan does the best job of cooling (and I don't have space to waste on a pretty but useless fan) that I almost immediately went for the new. Lack of space just as quickly pushed me into tower fans. If this fan had been better looking it would have got the fifth star. It's bigger than it seems and occupies more visual space than I'd expected (in other words, if you have a small space and don't want to look at the fan any more than you have to, you may want to look at other fans).

But, for its primary purpose, cooling, I LOVE it!

You see, after living for years in the same old apartment, it came to as quite the surprise when the landlord informed me that the knob alongside the radiator (steam heater) is not meant to be an adjusting knob for the tenant. Radiators are meant to be on, all the time, hot or cold, until the thermostat for the system turns the entire system off. There is no turning the individual radiator off---which, as I'd said, was news to me. Thankfully it rarely gets that hot in San Francisco, but even on a reasonable day having a heater on can turn the living room into a sweat box, as if it were a west facing room full of sunshine.

I needed a fan, like yesterday. And this, mind you, was just on the failing edge of the hottest week on record---the radiator had the good sense to be off that week.

It works. I come home of an afternoon, it's hot. I open the windows and it stays hot. But, turn on the fan (I like it full on, but that's not really necessary, just me) and the room quickly becomes habitable, even when you're on the radiator's end of the couch.

I don't like looking at the damn thing and that will likely see it replaced sooner than it would have been otherwise, but I'll have to find a better looking one that works just as well (or better) and that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Of course, soon it will have to go into the closet (yes, even in San Francisco some things just have to stay in the closet) for the winter months...

If you need something to keep you cool without air conditioning, and you're limited on space, I would recommend this one.

I purchased this based on the Wirecutter review and have not been disappointed. In fact, of all the household tower fans that I have purchased, the Seville Classics UltraSlimline is the best. Why? 1) Sturdy, "hefty" product. The build quality is excellent and attractive design (as far as fans go) 2) Solid air flow with four speeds and different wind types (sleep, natural, regular) 3) Super quiet for bedroom environments . Highly recommended.

This fan was a huge upgrade!

Before this one, I had a small desk fan right next to my bed that had a faint rattle. I kept trying to find ways to fix it but I could never get it to stop rattling. You don't really notice it at first, but when you're trying to sleep that's the only thing you can hear.

This fan, on the other hand, is very quiet. Even on the highest setting it is quieter than my previous fan! I also like this fan because of its small form-factor. It is tall yet thin so it can sit nicely on my nightstand without taking that much space.

I've learned to appreciate products that work out better than I expected and this fan is one of those products. I'm retired but still find myself spending a lot of time at my desk working on my computer. When I'm focusing on a task I also happen to be one of those people who will break out into a sweat even with the AC running.

Every time I sit down at my desk I push two buttons, first I wake up my computer and then... I turn on my fan. So, it's a fan right? How complicated can that be?

Well, to hide my clutter I have a rolltop desk. On that desk I have a large computer monitor, a pair of speakers, an electric pencil sharpener (yes, I still use wooden pencils!), a stapler, and a number of other space saving(?) necessities for working at a desk. My point is on my desk space is precious.

I've pretty much determined that if a regular 3 blade fan isn't too big to sit on my desk it just isn't powerful enough to be effective. Having said that it didn't take me long to discover the benefits of a small tower fan. I did however go through several inexpensive noisy, squeaky, rattling tower fans before finally running across this nice unit.

This Seville Classics UltraSlimline 17 in. Oscillating Personal Tower Fan doesn't require a lot of desk space, is both powerful and very quiet, and even the on-off button is easy to get to. Something most people might not even notice is that it has a separate button for fan speed and to turn it on and off so you don't even have to reset the speed every time you turn it on.

So, it's a fan right? How complicated can that be?

Nice fan folks!

Two years after purchase, this fan is still working like the day I got it! I read other reviews mentioning a "clicking" sound developing shortly after purchase, as well as failing motors. I have had ZERO issues so far. Shipped quickly, and assembly was fairly straightforward.

I use it daily for roughly 12-16 hours, including while I sleep. On the lowest mode, it is very quiet, but still audible. If you leave your TV on while going to bed, you won't hear the fan at all. At higher speeds, the volume does get fairly high, however for the amount of air being circulated, it's to be expected.

Oddly, the remote saves the last REMOTE setting, not the last FAN setting; i.e. If you used the remote to set the speed to 2 and turn on oscillation, but use the buttons on the fan itself to switch off oscillation & set the speed to 1, the remote will not update that on its display and will set the speed back to 2 & turn oscillation back on automatically with the next button press. It's confusing at first, but a nonissue once you know what's happening.

With the shear number of reviewers who have received faulty units, I felt compelled to let potential buyers know there are fully functioning units out there. After two years of heavy daily use, I would 100% recommend this product, and plan on purchasing another one for my office soon.

I'm a big fan! Get it? Huh? Get it?? Fan?!?!

After doing extensive research (reading one competitive comparison article) I chose this Seville floor fan, and my diligence paid off. It's a great addition to my office/workout room where I don't have wiring for a ceiling fan. All the settings and oscillation stuff is cool, but I just turn it on the default speed and lock it into place. I do enjoy the remote control, which saves me a 2 foot trip to the unit to press the button. Even though I'm so close to the fan, the remote still struggles making contact. I usually have to press the on button 5 or 6 times before the fan beeps into life. Assembling the base is sort of involved, but it's pretty straight forward, and kind of ingenious from a design and packaging point of view if you ask me.

Our first of these fans was received as a gift from a family member. My wife & I were quite impressed with it and I bought this one for another part of the house. We prefer a tower fan because it doesn't take up a lot of floor space. The various settings for speed, changes in air flow and timer settings are convenient & easy to set via the top of the unit. The remote control works equally well once yo get used to the smaller size & layout. The Seville Classic is a noticeably more effective and quieter fan than a competitor's model purchased 3 years ago (and which have worn out). We don't say "quiet" when running the fan on high speed, but it doesn't drive us out of the room as the other ones did. On the lowest 2 speeds, it is hardly noticeable & the air movement is comfortable. Assembly was relatively easy, with the only tricky part (with the 1st fan) being getting the AC cord correctly aligned with the appropriate slot in the base. It was a piece of cake the 2nd time around.

I have been using this fan since 2016 and the only problem I have had with it is the remote randomly stop working with the fan even tho the remote has plenty of battery life and the screen on the remote works. Other than that it is a FANcy fan
