If you live in a hurricane zone like I do, you need a battery powered fan. This one has a light, too - bonus! Unlike another model I have, this one has an easy way to insert the batteries. The air circulation is not really powerful, but it's enough to put by the side of the bed and keep you from passing out or sweating to death. Just the thing.
I bought this fan in case we lost power during a hurricane. It worked perfect when we lost power during hurricane Irma. It's a must for any situation when a fan is needed without having electricity available.
It was going to be my first time camping and I saw that the weather was going to be a bit hot and humid. I prefer this one over a fan that hangs from the tent as I could place it right next to the air mattress. With the batteries inserted it gives it a bit of weight so that you don't accidentally knock it over. The 2 fan speeds are good. I mostly had it on high speed the whole time and it worked well the entire weekend camping. Because it was my first time camping I had no idea how dark it really gets outside, so I was really happy that the bright LED lights were helpful at night when I had to use the bathroom. I would definitely recommend.
Have two older style battery operated fans manufactured by 02 Cool, saw us through the 2017 hurricane. This new model puts out just as much air on fewer batteries. A must have for anyone in southern climate during power outages.
I took this fan with us to Scout camp this week. It was 95 degrees when we went to bed that first night but even on the low setting it kept us comfortable enough to sleep decently (as good as one can sleep in a tent in 95 degree weather)! We used it for 2 nights on low, approximately 16 hours and we still had battery life. I love the built in light feature too!

For the price it feels cheap yet it works great. It's also small but it puts out a good breeze and the lights work good. I had a little problem getting the battery compartment open, was afraid I was going to break it because like I said, it feels cheap. I purchased it to put in our hurricane prep box and plan to buy a couple of more.

Lasts a very long when only using fan on low speed.
I do not use lights although amber light very much appreciated when camping under dark skies!
I like the variable legs so it can rest on uneven surfaces.
It's not a dislike, but we took it with us on a trip and forgot to get batteries and pulled it out of the box and realized we had to go buy a bunch of large batteries during our trip.
works just as described, though manual (downloadable pdf from o2cool.com) says it comes with an AC adapter. it doesn't. O2Cool will sell adapter for $12 but other reviewers have pointed out less exp alternatives.
