I have several of these little timers to run plant grow lights in my condo that gets virtually no natural light. They are extremely easy to set up and use and they work exactly as intended. Just push down a segment to make it an ON segment and lift up a segment to make it OFF. There's a manual switch at the top of the timer so you can turn your light or whatever on at any time if you need manual control as well.
I use this to automatically turn on and off my reptiglo light for my Russian tortoise. He loves it and I love it. Doesn't make a ticking noise and is easy to program to whatever times you need it on.
It works. Better than I actually expected, even. It comes on and goes off on time. It is just for a single aquarium lamp right now, but I wanted to test this out and see how I liked it. For its price it seems like a great value to control my tank lights. I thought about getting fancy and connecting everything to WiFi.... but why? I have been switching the light on and off myself for years. This works just fine and I would recommend it. Super easy to use, too.
I purchased this item as am am going to be away form home for a few weeks. Connected it to the light. I am hoping that this would give curious people the impression that somebody is home! :-)
As a bonus, I also like the fact that when I come home from work the light is already on.
Setup was breeze, came with clear instructions. This thing just works and much cheaper than other similar mechanical switches.
I needed a timer to plug my Christmas lights into, this was perfect. I was a little unsure of how to use it because it didn't really come with good instructions. However there is a video on this page that explains what to do perfectly. If you're plugging it into a standard outlet and you put it on the bottom, you will be able to plug things above it. I made my mistake not realizing the plug above it was powering my flood lights and had a larger head on it. Still it managed to fit. Great deal works perfectly for the price

This product works great, and for my purposes I couldn't ask for anything better. I only give four stars because the timer runs a little short of 24 hours, so if you set the timer to turn on and off at specific times of the day, then it will eventually be off because the timer doesn't run exactly 24 hours. I personally have no reason for that, I use it to regulate a heater so that it comes on and off every few hours (the exact time of day isn't all that important to me).
At under 4-bucks each I purchased several for our greenhouse to use on some clamp lights with LED grow bulbs and it’s pretty much 1-timer for each light or a power strip running several. I also use one to control a small space heater and another for some heat pads. They do the job and the price was right.
Best product, easy to use, can set different timers for the day. It is like running 24hr clock with push button timer to on or off at perticular time and length. You can choose multi time and length. E. G I want to start my fan from 11pm to 1am and again at 4am to 6am, you can do it by just pressing buttons. Each button represents 1/2hr
Got these for Christmas candle window lights. Best feature is that they're QUIET. No little clicky sounds all the time. Had a different one in my son's room and he complained about hearing some kind of car or something running outside all night. Not a car, just the timer I had plugged in. Replaced it with one of these, and now he can sleep in heavenly peace.
Wish they were 15 minute increments, instead of 30 minute, but still worth 5 stars.
I suppose this would be easy for those familiar with timers. The directions were very short. I wasn't putting all of the pins down, just one at start and one at end. Anyway with experience you should be fine. Worked well after that.
