Have had this dolly for a few years now and it just keeps on paying for itself! Living in a condo requires navigating a lot of tight spaces and turns as well as transporting heavy objects over fairly large distances whether it's materials, new furniture/appliances, trash, etc. This is a perfect solution to address those needs as it can support a ton of weight and move well over a range of surfaces but also stow away easily into whatever unused corner of storage you have available! It is extremely sturdy, and the carpet lining is a nice plus as it protects both any nicer items you need to place on there and also walls/corners from occasional bumps. Investing in a cheap nylon rope makes for a great accessory whether it is to help keep items in place or even help steer/maneuver small hurdles.
These things cannot be beat for the durability and the price. They have saved my back (not to mention the sheetrock) on numerous occasions and will continue to do so in the future. Using these to move furniture such as a large desk or credenza allows you to stand the object on its end and easily navigate narrow hallways or tight turns without a room full of helpers and without any strain. The carpet on the units is heavy enough to protect the furniture without damaging the finish. My only problem with them is that they won't navigate stairs! :-)
I bought two of these and moving heavy objects is now simply a matter of having sufficient help (typically one other person) to lift the item to place it on the dolly and having them act as a spotter if I have to negiotiate hallways and doors. At age 56, I'm learning to work smarter instead of harder and these fit the bill.
Very well made and constructed.
I know because I took it apart. What? Yes, I bought it for a guitar amp to sit on so I can roll it around, and the amp is 24" x 11", so I cut the short sides to 12".
I got to see how they built it, and it's very good. After you remove about 50 staples and pull the carpet back, you see the casters are through bolted, holding the boards firmly. But if that wasn't enough, they were air nailed also. I was praying they weren't glued too, but they're not.
Hardwood, good casters, I don't know how they make it for the price. Even the inside of the bare wood is rounded so it feels good on your hands.
I've used one of these in our lab at work and they're very useful. But at home I've only had a traditional dolly, and it's not always the best choice.
Had some heavy furniture that needed moving and decided it was time to get one of these.
Solidly constructed. These things come in a variety of sizes and this was just right - not too big, not too small. Casters and wheels are quality and smooth. Carpeted pieces overall were good but had one corner where it wasn't well bonded, hence the 4 stars.
But overall it make the work a breeze.
I took off a star because the wheels are definitely hard plastic, not hard rubber as stated in the product description.
Still, it was perfect for the task we had of moving some furniture and heavy boxes through a carpeted apartment building and paved parking lot to our vehicle. A reasonable price and no problems using it.

Description
The Vestil HDOC-1624-9 hardwood dolly has an open wood deck with two carpeted ends and four swivel caster wheels, and can be used to transport appliances, crates, furniture, or other large, heavy objects. The dolly has an open deck, which weighs less than solid decks of the same size, and is made of hardwood, which is resistant to impacts and wear. The carpeted ends help protect loads from scratches. The caster wheels swivel for maneuverability, measure 1-1/4 inches wide and 3 inches in diameter, and are made of solid rubber, which can’t go flat and is resistant to wear. This dolly has a load capacity of 900 lb., weighs 22 lb., and measures 5-3/4 x 16 x 24 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) This product is intended for use in professional and industrial environments.
Dollies are used to transport any of a variety of large, heavy objects, such as cabinets, crates, drum containers, furniture, heavy machinery, large appliances, rolls of carpet, or totes. Dollies are typically comprised of a low platform or deck mounted to caster wheels that may swivel for maneuverability and may include brakes to keep the dolly from rolling. Some dollies have adjustable frames to transport loads of different sizes. Others come with a pull handle to help the user move the dolly. Dollies can be used by professional movers or in warehouses or other industrial environments.

Ordered to assist my family in down-size move from my home to an apartment in a retirement community. Dolly used to move usual household furniture over carpet, hardwood, and concrete. No scratches or marks left on floors or carpet. Wheels held up fine on concrete. My family and friends's backs thanked me at end of day. I don't know how dolly will hold up over time, but based on my one time use, dolly is a quality product at a very affordable price. Highly recommend.
I have a very old.. very large upright piano. It's been impossible to move. We just got new carpet installed and I didn't want it ruined so I ordered one of these. We centered it under the piano and it rolled effortlessly across the plush carpeting. I wish I'd had this all along!! After the piano was placed I put hardwood caster cups under it (that I also got on Amazon) to protect the carpet.
Hardwood, carpet pad find for furniture, durable. No complaints. To the person who complained of the slightly curved wheels: you're just wrong. Doesn't mark real hardwood, so no reason to worry (at least not with standard loads of 300lbs that I used). And the curved design works much better on carpet. If you want to add a line because you want to pull it along (or supplement force on the load) just drill a small hole or add eye ring then add a knotted rope. That's what's the pros do. Highly recommended.
Sturdy and functional! Bought this item (actually two of them) for unloading my POD after a long distance move. Arrived well packaged and are a no frills, yet perfect moving companion! They moved quite a few heavy items with ease, one of them being an upright piano. Handled it very well. I would recommend this item, it has served me well and I am confident that they will be handy again in the future.
Good little cart to move heavier objects around. You have to watch loading something on it if you are working alone. It will shoot out from under the item while you are loading it if you don't put your foot up against it. Does the job it was purchased for.
