This is the first year I've used these side panels for air conditioner units left in the windows over winter. They are great! Easy to cut to fit and definitely a boost to the warmth of the room. I also use a window kit of transparent plastic, because the windows with the AC units can't have storm windows. The side insulation panels are something I'll leave in for the summer, too.
These fit well in two of my three windows. My fault for not measuring them all. The one window is about 1/2" wider than the others so I cannot adhere the panels. I just have them sitting there with the mini-blinds low enough to hold them in. So far, they have worked well. I also used screen door mesh on the outside of my AC's to help keep the bugs out.
I bought these to help insulate the sides of my window AC unit~as they're described to be. Had to trim down due to being a few inches too tall but I just used the cuttings to insulate the bottom of my unit. I bought my unit from a friend so have never had the accordion sides. I used cardboard & duck tape, then put these in over for more insulation. I also used some black tacks to keep these secure. So far they're working perfectly! Would recommend & would purchase again.
Perfect fit. Took a little cutting to make sure the length fit just perfect. Cut it a little longer then you need to stuff it in there good. Ac is working less and more cool air is kept inside. It does what its suppose to do.
They were too large for the particular job, but I was easily able to trim them to size. I have smaller insulated windows (27" wide). The panels were thick and keep out the heat and cold air very well.

These should come as standard equipment with all new air conditioners. These are much more useful than the remote controls that typically accompany new ACs.
Easy to install and are working great against the Florida heat!
When I bought my replacement air conditioner I didn't realize it had insulating panels so I considered returning these panels but decided to give them a try. They are much better than the panels included with the new a/c and the dark color of the panels blend in very well. I'm glad that I decide to keep and use these panels. They are worth the small cost.
You must measure and cut carefully and you will need some type of adhesive to hold the panels to the upper window frame. I used double faced foam tape that is about 1/2 inch wide and comes on a roll. If you want these panels to actually insulate, then they must be sealed all the way around them.
I purchased the insulation panels to help insulate my window AC unit. They really do the trick, I actually trimmed both panels to fit on the inside and then used the trimmed portion on the outside of the unit. My ac unit is covered by a porch, so no worries about them getting wet. We have has some chilly days/nights, and we noticed a difference.
