I got this air conditioner to cool down my room. I live in Southern California and it’s been 110 about once a week atleast, and I get no relief from the air conditioner that’s in my living room. This a/c is on the small side but it works very well. It cools down my room and the hallway of my place within 10-15 minutes on Low a/c. I don’t even put it on the high setting. It was easy to set up and it was worth the money to not be sweating to death. The only downside is no remote to control and it is 4 settings, 2 that are just the fan and 2 that are actually air conditioning. It also has a knob to how cold you want it, similar to a refrigerator knob, I usually don’t have to put it in the highest setting, it cools down quick on 3 or 4 and it goes up to 7 I think. I wish it had a setting for a timer for automatic shutoff or a degree setting for when I’m sleeping or leaving my house, but I’ll live. Also got my electric bill after having it on for DAYS in a row, and it only went up $20. Worth the money and glad I instantly bought it when it was on sale.

This little cooler unit is the perfect size for our bedroom! It definitely keeps it cool enough for me to sleep at night. It's not too loud. I love that there are no light on it to keep me up during the night as well

We just enclosed our carport to make another bedroom and so we needed a window unit. This one has been fantastic so far. Its quiet and it cools the room off in record time. Its easy to use and the filter will be easy to clean. I have had them in the past where you could hardly get the filter out, but this one comes out easily. Its a wonderful unit. If you are looking to cool off a small part of your home this is the unit for you.

So we initially bought a fancy Frigidaire ac unit that can be controlled over wifi. In theory this was a good plan because we figured we wouldn't have to sneak into our kids' room at night to turn it off and potentially wake them. We quickly discovered that they found it hilarious to mess with it and shove things into the front vents. It was also 5k btu & waaay larger a unit than we needed for their room which is under 100sq ft. So we reclaimed the fancy unit for ourselves!

I was looking for an affordable, simple, smaller AC unit when I bought this model. It may have been relatively inexpensive, but it works really well for our kids' room! It gets cold fast, and while I wish it, too, had an auto setting where it would turn off once it reaches a certain temp, we just monitor it closer. Which also works to check in on the boys' shenanigans. After having one unit taken away from them and being downgraded, our kiddos are being a little more respectful with the vents as well.
I fully expect -even with our destructive boys- that this will last more than a few years even for us, and when it starts to struggle it will be of no fault of its own, but rather our kids when/if it gets clogged with paint chips, confettied paper, dust bunnies, etc *eyeroll* I'm very glad we went with it!
Unfortunately, our windows are really old and our wooden storm windows are taller than the interior sill. This has caused us problems installing both units. We added a wooden ledge as instructed in both manuals and still have issues with firting. Even the fancy one doesn't seal properly with the included accordion panels. This more affordable ac unit doesn't have hard foam inserts like the pricier model, but when we have gaps even with the fancy foam version, I am not sure how much that matters. Both brands included paneling have left us gaps and we can't screw them into the window frame as advised. I think this is a situation that will be hard to avoid with older homes (ours is 103yo). I am actually glad we tried out an expensive unit first before this one because we aren't as frustrated or assuming the issue is because it's a budget price that it was lacking in this department. It doesnt fit quite as well, but it's not a significant difference either.
Overall I give this 4 stars because I wish there were better instructions for how to adapt this to our windows, and because I wish it had the temperature auto off. Despite our frustration (with both units), I am actually really glad we got this one! The unit itself works as expected...I only wish I knew how to fix our installation issues.

This is a good little AC unit that churned along through the summer. Although it is now in storage for the winter, it did the trick in my kitchen window. The kitchen is very warm year round because of an old 1940’s gas range with lit pilot lights. In the summer it’s unbearable. Well, this little AC unit helped keep it a LOT more bearable. Would have given 5 stars but it tends to “warm up” a little when it runs for over 2-3 hours, and this is not totally unexpected. The user manuals on most AC units recommend running for only a few hours at a time. It doesn’t blow warm air, it just isn’t as cold as when it’s first turned on.
Great AC, would buy again!

Overall a very nice and compact AC unit. It has a relatively quiet and consistent noise while running that is like a white noise when sleeping.

It does not function well in 90F+ days. Running at full cold all day it would only lower the temperature to the upper 70s, even overnight when the temperature outside dips.

Keeps you cool. This product does a good job of keeping a small space cool. Perfect for an average sized bedroom (mine is 12 ft by 16 ft) this product offers few frills. Manual controls allow 4 settings. This air conditioner may not be the fanciest but it does the job economically.

simple room air conditioner for 110v. installs as easily as any other window unit. It is a small btu unit so it will fit an almost any window. I use it to keep a hallway cool on the upper floor where I have a small office nook. It does the job fine. please note, the unit's fan will run continuously, even after the desired temperature has been reached and the compressor turns off. This is common for the cheapest window units. Also ,there is no fresh air venting option, meaning fan only mode just circulates air in the room but does not draw in cool air from outside. If this bothers you, spend more for the feature.

For my purpose, this little air conditioner was the perfect fit. Little and compact, and 5000 btu. Obviously it's not going to cool a huge place, but for the area needed, it's worked perfectly. Using it in a low ceiling, single bedroom apartment. It's done a fantastic job at removing the humidity from the air and cooling it. It's very easy to install and operate. Sound level wise, no different than others I've come across. But if you need something for a smaller area, this is the perfect fit!

I bought this during sale for ~$95us I think so that does effect the review some.It got here quickly, faster in fact that anything else that was in the order so despite it being a heavier and bigger item shipping was not an issue. Item is not to heavy, expected size. I didn't have too much trouble lifting the box but might, though it definitely felt a little lighter than most windows ac I have carried. The packing was pretty good I think not the most secure, but definitely the most frustration free packaging I have ever had on a heavy/bulky product. Installation was easy owing to the fact that it felt pretty light and seemed like it had supports in all the right places to hold in in place. It should be mentioned I have this installed in a horizontal window, and have some plywood above it. I also have some stuff underneath it on the outside planter box for support. Has been doing a remarkable job getting my bedroom cool and keeping it that way. Will do fine for a room about ~14'x10', even in a climate like mine hot desert in the summer. We had days reaching 110f and it still kept things at 75 easy(my prefference). The lowest I recorded in the summer was down to 55. Personally I couldn't figure out the temperature dial, it wasn't very intuitive to me, though it was all the same to me. I keep it on 7, and put it on high-cool when I get home from work for about an hour to cool the room off. And unless all your days are 100-110+ you shouldn't need to use this thing more than 8 hours/day so that should help keep the bills down.
