I have had this for years, and it has never skipped a beat. The temp. sensing remote works well and always keeps my 12x12 room cool.

The unit cooled great when I first bought it. After only 2 months the power control module went out.
The factory warranty is only for 30 days. It's not the first one I have bought(three others), but I would certainly pay for the extended warranty. Bought mine at WalMart ($19)
Nice A/C for a bedroom. Quite, easy to use and does the job.
