Received a damaged product today (picture) installed it to use anyway because it appeared cosmetic. I have it set to cool, the lowest temperature (60*) and I left it for an hour and the thermostat still reads 85*! It's very hot in my third floor/top of the house apartment and it took so long to get it upstairs and installed that I almost cried. The heat is so bad and after all that work the unit doesn't function. The fan blows, the unit appears to be working but the air is not cold. I purchased the protection plan and will see about repairing or replacing it in the morning, but as I don't drive I'm not sure how I'll return it.
The app works fine on my android s8+, I just wish the 500$ unit worked. It's so disheartening.

I am changing to a 4 star review because Amazon replaced the item quickly, with return pickup from my house, and it works great, however the new one had even more cosmetic damage than the first one. I know Amazon can't control UPS deliverymen but come on.
Also I think my previous unit may have been a return from someone else, as the second box was neatly taped and packed while the first one was kind of falling apart.
First of all, this is by far one of the most aesthetically pleasing window ac units that I've ever come across. My house was built in 1904 and our master bedroom is on the top floor which is the converted attic space. There is 1 vent from our central air but you would never even know it was there. This unit cools down our 350 square foot bedroom quickly and consistently. I love being able to control everything from my phone. I can set the unit to cool the bedroom 10 minutes before I'm ready for bed and it is at the perfect temperature without having to walk upstairs to do it ahead of time myself! We do have a ceiling fan in the room which helps circulate the cool air since the vents blow up, not out. Without the ceiling fan on, it still cools but just takes longer to reach the corners of the room. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and I love showing off my beautiful window ac unit!
Bought this primarily for its design and generally good reviews. A bit disappointed by how loud it is when the fan is set to high. However, it cools our entire first-floor (about 900 square feet) quickly and does a nice job of maintaining the assigned temperature. The App received quite a few complaints, however, it was easy to set up, and though it is a bit slow, it works quite well and is nicely designed. It would be nice if it could display a chart comparing outside temp, inside temp, and temp setting over time. Some suggestions to Frigidaire: the packaging should have more protection for the radiator grill (ours showed a fair number of dents); also it could use a protective grill over the radiator grill as it is outside, it is an important component, and is completely exposed and vulnerable to damage; the assembly directions could be clearer especially on how to attach the side screens; and lastly, given all of the work Frigidaire put into this product, it proudly attached a big "Frigidaire" sticker on the back of the unit, except it, was applied crookedly (a small thing really but your name deserved better). All in all a great unit with good value!
Love this AC! I don't feel it's overly loud in fact it has a lower decibel rating than others of equal size. My previous air condition I couldn't hear dialog from the TV no matter how loud. Running this on low I can hear the TV just fine. I've had no issues with the wifi or APP works perfectly great feature. the Front plastic did come cracked I called frigidaire and they sent me out the plastic replacement part for free. Overall very pleased with this unit you can't these features in this price range on any where else.
great a/c unit cools down my 1 bedroom apartment in a matter of half hour, the app works great on the 2.4 home network and i control from away, i love the clean air and sleep mode also. It arrived broken though but i kept it since i had a 25% off the price from Amazon, works great so far.

Easy setup and the app does everything I need it to. Sleek design and seems to be a great unit. Quick delivery. I don't know why people complained about the app honestly.

Item arrived on time, I like how it looks and so far is working great, the only problem is that it arrived damaged, one of the corners on the front bottom right, the plastic is broken and the metal part a little bent, other than that I’m liking the unit
Just installed it, it looks great and seems very powerful, and very quite relative to its power. Still waiting for a hot day to see how it works in real time. Yes, light comes out of the sides of the unit, (from the other review) but I'd think it would happen with most windows' air-conditioners, and could be resolved with a weather sticker.
It's a pretty loud AC. Not rly sure why, I also have a non-smart version with the same BTUs and it's much quieter. But yeah, works rly well, app is magic. Love telling the AC to turn on while I'm on the road.
